The "STROYTECHNIKA" Plant
An Engineering Enterprise; Machinery for the construction industry.

"Rifey" Machinery (from the Ancient Greek word for "Ural") was designed, patented, and produced in a very short period. The in-house plant was built in 1992, entirely with profits from the sale of manufactured machinery (no bond financing, stock sales, bank underwriting, or budget funding).
 
During the years of a lagging national economy, the plant worked successfully to hire new positions and accurately pay taxes. Also during these years of operation, the plant turned out approximately four thousand machinery units, which are successfully operating in all regions of Russia, CIS countries, the Baltic, and further abroad.
 
Nowadays the "Stroytechnika" plant is a Russian leader in manufacturing block-making machinery for a wide range of building products, including slag blocks and paving slabs, using a method of dry-block-making on cement-astringent material. As components may differ, the plant uses local, available, and inexpensive ones – sands, the shavings from sledged stone production, slags, ashes, haydite, scobs, etc.
 "Rifey" gives an opportunity to create high-quality stones of different shapes and colors for the construction of residential and industrial buildings, the remodeling of building facades, the improvement of architectural expression, and for the renovation of almost any kind of landscape. A stone's color depends on the coloring agent contained in its composition mixture. At last, our fellow countrymen can be satisfied with beautiful buildings, yards, paths, and parks created using different combinations of materials that are applied in consideration of the surrounding environment and full of imagination and colors. 
"Rifeys" can manufacture many of the standard-sized stones – approximately one hundred building product types: small foundation blocks, building, baffle and casing stones, sangars, stair treads, curb stones, paving slabs (block-stone), gutter stones, fence posts, elements for fence construction, incline grifs, bowls, and special formwork stones for columns and sommers which are used in high-rise buildings.

The "Stroytechnika" plant was founded in January 1990 by a group of former defense-industry workers of the Zlatoust machine plant, which manufactured the development products of the State Missile Center of the RF "Design Office named after academician V.P. Makeev" ("KB Makeeva").

Summary: Purchase of inexpensive, completely independent, easy in operating and ultimately repairable “Rifey” machinery initiated the process of solving the problem with accessible accommodation in Russia. The best example of this is a quindecennial experience of machinery operating all over Russia and abroad. That means that the place that “Stroytechnika” occupied at the giant market of different building materials (manufacturing of fine concrete bricks on block-making machinery) has a right to exist.  
Operating “Rifeys” became points of active increase in construction and creation of living environment. Eight operating “Rifeys” changed the face of the town. Reconstruction of building faces and parks, new curb stones of the roads, pavements made of paving slabs, progressive low-rise construction became the most significant steps in provision of urban amenities. 
The machinery is also successfully used in the construction of the accommodation for migrants and for the construction of permanent posts in Chechnia. There are great perspectives for use of the machinery in reconstruction of the regions after accidents, installation of customs posts and borders of the Russian Federation. This is a prime example showing that nowadays it is possible to solve narrow squeaks having appropriate machinery and technologies.
